Welcome to the Society for women and AIDS in Africa's website.
SWAA is the only pan-African women's organization dedicated to women and their families in the fight against HIV/AIDS. It is our hope at the International Secretariat in Dakar, Senegal, that this site will help reinforce the channels of communication between SWAA International, SWAA country offices our partners and friends. In the following pages, you will find information about our projects and initiatives, contact information for the 40 branch offices, links to other useful websites, including those of our partners, and an invitation to begin a dialogue with us.

African Coalition on Women and AIDS in Africa (ACOWA)
We need new strategies and a world effort to preserve the dignity of African women. The African Coalition on Women and AIDS is an opportunity for the global coalition on women and AIDS and the 3x5 initiative to meet targets in Africa. SWAA has been associated as a partner of the two initiatives at the global level and would like to show its commitment by engaging all its branches and members.
Management direction for the next three years:
Leadership: ONE SWAA, ONE BODY
Capacity building:  Strengthening SWAA national offices and NETWORKING move from ad hoc and volunteer activities to a professional NGO.
